JOURNALING AT THE PINES
Throughout his life Herbert Dow filled close to fifty journals. He kept thoughts on his business, ideas about inventions, and notes about his gardens and orchards. Just as Herbert endeavored to keep journals to capture thoughts, reflect on events, or explore his creativity, you will be encouraged to journal throughout the summer in the historic Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Home, the Pines.
Bring a journal. Pens and pencils will be provided. If any supplies beyond this are desired, feel free to bring them along! Foundation Historian Samantha Engel will provide historical inspiration for each week’s meeting, but you will also be encouraged to use the time for whatever moves you.
