HAND LETTERING

Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow lived in a time when an elegantly penned envelope signaled the arrival of news from a friend, greetings from a child, or even affections from a lover. Today, the art of hand lettering is experiencing a resurgence. Join the team from Captured Community and Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Foundation Historian Samantha Engel for a three-part series that will introduce the history of hand lettering as well as teach you to create your own wonderful works of art! Classes will take place in The Pines, the Homestead of Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow.
